I was recently asked to submit a creative artist's statement to a publication. Here's what I sent:

I collect words like I collect spare change in a jar. Occasionally I take the jar to Coinstar and get ten bucks. Sometimes twenty. I like the feel of that crisp twenty. That's why I write.

Anyway, hi, I'm Elyse. I live in Los Angeles.

I've been writing my whole life. When asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would say "a writer". ​

Whether writing copy or creatively, I deal in imagery and emotions. I create impactful statements that keep people reading and clicking. You've made it this far, no?
